Every day, the waste-to-energy park will generate around 250-300 units of power which the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will utilise for electrifying public parks. The construction of the plant took place with corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds. As stated by BMC, the plant will assist in partial savings in municipal electricity expenses and will also save waste transportation costs.
