Indian Railways To Launch 190 Theme-Based Trains To Celebrate India’s Rich Culture

After passenger segments, the railways is launching around 190 theme-based trains called Bharat Gaurav trains. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced in a press conference that the idea of running Bharat Gaurav trains originated from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who recommended theme-based train services for residents to understand as well as take forward the country’s heritage. A total of 190 trains or 3,033 coaches have been identified for the Bharat Gaurav trains.

Indian Railways Is Cancelling Some Special Trains From December 2021

Indian Railways is cancelling some special trains from December 2021 for three months till February 2022. Six pairs of special trains between Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat will be cancelled due to operational setbacks in the winter months. Here are the details of the special trains to be cancelled from December 1:

– Train No. 09017, Bandra Terminus
– Train No. 09018, Haridwar – Bandra Terminus
– Train No. 09403, Ahmedabad – Sultanpur
– Train No. 09404, Sultanpur – Ahmedabad
– Train No. 09407, Ahmedabad – Varanasi
– Train No. 09408, Varanasi – Ahmedabad
– Train No. 09111, Valsad – Haridwar
– Train No. 09112, Haridwar – Valsad
– Train No. 04309, Ujjain – Dehradun bi-weekly special
– Train No. 04310, Dehradun – Ujjain bi-weekly special

Passengers Can Change The Boarding Station

Indian Railways has been making headlines for its new and exclusive offerings. However, they have now come up with the best deal that travellers could have ever asked for. Travellers will now be able to change the travel dates without cancelling their tickets in case of change of travel plans. This means that travellers will now be able to prepone or postpone their tickets and also change the boarding destination.Passengers can change the boarding station by applying in writing to the station manager or visiting a computerised reservation centre 24 hours before travel. Travellers will now also be able to extend their journey by contacting the ticket checking before or after reaching the destination.

Travellers Can Prepone Or Postpone Tickets

Travellers will be able to prepone or postpone their tickets only once. To change the travel date, passengers can go to the reservation office and surrender the ticket 48 hours before the departure of the train. According to Indian Railways, the date of travel on these tickets is the same category as the prescribed fee. Travellers also have the option to prepone and postpone tickets in the higher category or for the same destination. In addition, railways also allow passengers to change their travel boarding station and upgrade their tickets to a higher category. While some features are applicable for offline tickets, others are available for both offline and online tickets.
